In 2017 I had a groundbreaking epiphany in my parents backyard, where I randomly decided that I deserve everything in this world and should be completely unbothered by other people’s opinions of me.

It has significantly changed my way of receiving blessings. Almost as if I had opened a portal for endless luck in that brief moment, only with my new way of thinking. Maybe my prefrontal cortex developed that day, idk, but it was magical.

And this has been my mantra (and my instagram bio) ever since: who dares wins.

Obviously I am not exempt from doubt and being trapped in my comfort zone sometimes, but I can always revisit this exact moment and suddenly I am chill again. I know it will work out, because at least I dare to try.

And funnily enough, there might actually be science behind it. A few years later, I read an article in one of these trashy plane magazines on my way to a photoshoot in Stockholm, and it included a study on happy people: What makes people truly happy and which EU nation is the happiest according to statistics?

Turns out: It's one of the scandi countries (can't remember which one) AND their core to an enhanced happiness level (except from basic governmental needs, like healthcare, insurance etc.) are new and diverse experiences.
So - Daring to go on new adventures is undeniably connected to happiness. (Something with brain activity and hormones)

It can be simple; like a new route to work, trying a new dish from your go-to restaurants menu, doing seasonal activities - like picking strawberries or mushrooms. Collaging. Wearing a random color combination. Or something you always had on your bucket list. It doesn't necessarily matter what you do, as long as it's not the usual.

So, I want to encourage everybody who is reading this to go out and D-A-R-E  to do something different this week. It doesn’t have to change your life. But it might shift your perspective. And sometimes that’s how everything starts.
